We’ve all used some excuse to get out of work. And if you’re smart, your lie is both logical and believable. Well Beverly Brooks clearly isn’t a good liar. For starters, she actually went to work! She left on lunch, and one of her coworkers realized she wasn’t back yet, so she called Beverly to make sure everything was cool. Beverly didn’t feel like going back to work, so she told her coworker….she was being held against her will by her boyfriend! Now if my coworker told me that, my next call would be to the police. And that’s exactly what her coworker did! So the police found Beverly, and while she lied to her job, she told the police the truth: she just didn’t feel like going back to work. Well I hope she felt like going to jail, because they arrested her ass.
