Update: CBSNew York reports that the total wounded in the Irving Park shooting is now four. Two men who were shot, one in the chest, the other in the abdomen, are being transported Bellevue Hospital Center and “were likely to die of their wounds.”
Multiple people were shot Wednesday night before rapper T.I. began his performance at Irving Plaza.
Sources say a woman was shot in the leg and a man shot in the chest around 10 p.m. Police report a third person was shot but no other details were available about their condition.
Fire officials say two gunshot victims were rushed to Bellevue Hospital. One victim is in critical condition and the other stable.
At least 1,000 people are at the venue. Photos posted to social media show a heavy police presence in the area.
A concert attendant tells PIX11 that security did not search anyone at the entrance of the venue.
The building has been cleared as police investigate and search for other victims. Photos from the scene show stretchers lined up to enter Irving Plaza.
No suspects are in custody at this time.
T.I. was scheduled to play one night at Irving Plaza.
