He’s A Proud Aggie

Not only is Terrence J handsome, he is a strong, college-educated Black man. The Queens native attended North Carolina A&T State University, where he served as Student Government Association President. When his head wasn’t buried in books, he spun records as the DJ for A&T’s radio station, WNAA, and at the local Greensboro station, 102 Jamz. After pledging Omega Psi Phi that spring, he graduated with a degree in mass communications in 2004.

He Got His Big Break On 106 & Park

One year later, Terrence J auditioned for BET, who was looking for new 106 & Park hosts. As the story goes, Terrence J emptied his savings to fly to New York and auditioned to be considered for the gig. After feeling unsatisfied with his first audition, he rented a car and drove to Atlanta for a second chance. Now that’s determination.
