Rapper Kevin Gates is being held without bail, after he locked up again, just as he was being processed for release from jail in Florida yesterday (March 24). Kevin Gates was supposed to get out a month early, after completing five months of a 180-day sentence at the Polk County Jail. The rapper was serving time for kicking a fan a female fan during a performance at Rumors Niteclub in Lakeland, Florida in August of 2015.Kevin had tried to use Florida’s Stand Your Ground Law, but that defense faltered, resulting in the jail sentence. When he was being freed, authorities found a felony weapons possession warrant out of Cook County, Illinois.Yesterday during a court appearance, a judge ordered Kevin Gates held without bail. Now, he will be transferred to Cook County, Illinois, where he will face the weapons charges. Currently, there’s no release date available for Kevin Gates. However, he will be transferred to the Cook County Jail within the next 30 days.
