As summer nears construction season begins in Ohio.

You may have noticed the orange cones already on Ohio highways but the state is just getting started.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is investing a well-needed $60 million by adding one lane over an 8 mile stretch of Interstate 270 from US-33 in Dublin to Trabue Road on the west side.

You know we got you covered so below is the details of work that will start on May 5.

Via WBNS:

FRIDAY, MAY 5 (I-270 SOUTH ONLY)

8 PM– I-270 south between Davidson Road and I-70 is reduced to 2 lanes.

  • Two lanes of I-270 will open Saturday, May 6 at 7am.
  • All three lanes of I-270 south will open but shifted towards the median at Saturday, May 6 at 11 am.

9 PM– The ramp from I-270 south to Cemetery Road will close

Detour: I-270 south to Georgesville Road to I-270 north to Cemetery Road.

  • Ramp will open Saturday, May 6 at 8 am

9 PM– The ramp from I-270 south to Cemetery Road will close

Detour: I-270 south to Georgesville Road to I-270 north to Cemetery Road.

  • Ramp will open Saturday, May 6 at 8 am

10 PM– I-270 south between Davidson Road and I-70 will be down to one lane

  • All three lanes of I-270 south will open but shifted towards the median at Saturday, May 6 11 am.

10 PM- The following ramps will close on the west side

Cemetery Road to I-270 South

Detour: Cemetery Road to I-270 north to Tuttle Crossing Boulevard to I-270 south.

  • Ramp will open Saturday, May 6th at 8 am

I-270 South to Roberts Road

Detour: I-270 south to Georgesville Road to I-270 north to Roberts Rd.

  • Ramp will Saturday, May 6th at 7 am

Roberts Road to I-270 south

Detour: I-270 north to Tuttle Crossing Boulevard to I-270 south.

  • Ramp will open Saturday, May 6th at 7 am

11 PM– The ramp from I-270 south to I-70 west will close on the west side

Detour: I-270 south to Georgesville Rd. to I-270 north to I-70 west.

  • Ramp will open Saturday, May 6th at 8 am.

12 AM (Midnight) -The ramp from I-270 south to I-70 east is closed.

Detour: I-270 south to Georgesville Rd. to I-270 north to I-70 east.

  • Ramp will open Saturday, May 6th at 7 am.

SATURDAY, MAY 6 (I-270 NORTH ONLY)

7 PM– I-270 north will be reduced to two lanes between Trabue Road and Cemetery Road.

  • Two lanes of I-270 north are open Sunday, May 7th at 7 am.

The following ramps will close on the west side

I-270 north to east Cemetery Road

Detour: I-270 north to Tuttle Crossing Boulevard to I-270 south to Cemetery Road

  • The ramp will open Sunday, May 7th at 8 am

8 PM- The following ramps will close:

I-70 east to I-270 north

Detour: I-270 south to Georgesville Rd. to I-270 north

  • The ramp will open Sunday, May 7th at 8 am.

I-270 north to Cemetery Road. east/west

Detour: Continue on I-270 north to Tuttle Crossing Blvd. to I-270 south to Cemetery Rd.

  • The ramp will open Sunday, May 7th at 8 am

9 PM- The following ramps will close:

I-70 west to I-270 north

Detour: I-270 south to Georgesville Road. to I-270 north

  • Ramp will open will open Sunday, May 7th at 7 am

Roberts Road to I-270 north

Detour: I-270 south to Georgesville Road to I-270 north

  • Ramp will open will open Sunday, May 7th at 7 am.

I-270 north to Roberts Road

Detour: Continue on I-270 north to Tuttle Crossing Boulevard to I-270 south to Roberts Road.

  • Ramp will open Sunday, May 7th at 7 am

10 PM– I-270 north is reduced to one lane between Trabue Road and Cemetery Road

  • All lanes of I-270 north are open but shifted toward the median Sunday, May 7th by 11 am.
