 Hurricane Harvey has taken lives, left many people without homes and has caused so much sadness.

Many celebrities such as Kevin Hart, Dwayne Johnson and Jennifer Lopez have donated to the American Red Cross.

Sandra Bullock donated $1 million according to USA Today to help with the relief fund.

Bullock said, “I’m just grateful I can do it,” Bullock said. “We all have to do our part.”

The actress has a home in Texas and has always been a supporter of the American Red Cross.

She also mentioned, “There are no politics in eight feet of water. There are human beings in eight feet of water.”

Vice president of communications at the Red Cross, Elizabeth Penniman was grateful for Bullock’s donation.

Penniman said, “Especially during times of disaster, people see what’s happening in Texas and our hearts all go out to them. Having someone like Sandra Bullock make this kind of commitment, it helps bring people together and open their hearts and be even more generous.”

We hope other celebrities follow in her footsteps.
