There has been a lot of talk for quite some time about a Marvin Gaye television series. According to Essence, the family of Gaye was happy to give Jamie Foxx permission to executive produce a series about the life of Gaye.

The show will reveal ups and downs of Gaye’s life and Marvin Gaye III said, “This project will be a powerful and definitive telling of Marvin Gaye’s life story.” Founder of Motown Records, Barry Gordy even said, “Marvin was the truest artist I have ever known. I am confident that this is the right team to bring his story to the audience in an authentic and compelling way.”

Before his death in 1984 Gaye was a big star. His voice brought people together and it’s amazing that Foxx along with producer Suzanne de Passe and Madison Jones will bring it to life. We will keep you posted on this story as the show is being produced.
