Im all for a House Party Reboot, and the fact that King James is behind it has me even more AMPed about it.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed Tuesday that James will produce a reboot of early-’90s film franchise “House Party” alongside Maverick Carter, his agent and business partner at SpringHill Entertainment.

“This is definitely not a reboot. It’s an entirely new look for a classic movie,” James told The Hollywood Reporter. “Everyone I grew up with loved ‘House Party.’ To partner with this creative team to bring a new ‘House Party’ to a new generation is unbelievable.”
He will be working with screenplay writer Stephen Glover(Donald Glover) younger brother.
The original “House Party” franchise featured rappers Kid and Play as high school friends throwing, you guessed it, a house party.
