Guys, this is not a test. This is the real deal. Measles are making a huge comeback, and we should all be concerned.
Children are coming down with the measles at an alarming rate — on Monday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said those numbers rose 19 percent in the past week, to 121 people in 17 states. And given that the highly contagious disease was eradicated in the early 2000s in the nation, those are big numbers.
Take it from our news and politics editor, Christina Coleman, who discusses why vaccinations matter (even if you don’t trust the government), how this is now a first world problem, and how anti-vaxxers can change the landscape of America in GlobalGrind’s newest web series, The Retweet.
And she’s not the only one with an opinion. Check out some of our favorite tweets from Twitter users this week surrounding the vaccination debate:

America flipped a shit about every person from ANY region of Africa during the Ebola scare, but unvaccinated white kids in school are fine.

Jurassic Park, but for once-eradicated diseases.
