Columbus police say they have arrested a 12 year old child who threatened a woman at gunpoint, then stole her vehicle. Ashley Galloway was sitting in her car at a red light when the child walked up to her. Her window was already rolled down, giving the child the ability to shove a gun into her face, and demand her to exit the vehicle.
“I’m in the car with the window down and this guy comes up and he tells me to get out of the car and he’s got a gun pointed toward me,” Galloway said. The carjacking was followed by a brief chase, in which the 12 year old wrecked at Cleveland and 18th. The child was apprehended and arrested. He is being charged with “aggravated robbery, failure to control, reckless operations, no operations and hit skip.” Police are not publicly releasing the name of the suspect due to his age.
