Ohio State University has announced it is investigating allegations of sexual misconduct involving a former wrestling trainer who was with the university decades ago.
This trainer, Dr. Richard Strauss. is now Deceased!
Strauss served in his role as a trainer between the mid-1970s and the late 1990s, though his exact dates of employment aren’t known.
The allegations involving Strauss include incidents of sexual misconduct regarding his “behavior with student-athletes and other sexual misconduct” throughout his time at the university, the university said.
Strauss died in 2005.
The university has notified law enforcement, and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office has committed resources of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation to assist.
