According to 10TV, the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after a truck was found burning in an empty field in Canal Winchester early Thursday morning.
According to reports, deputies received a report of a body found in a burned car on Gender Road in Canal Winchester just after 11 on Wednesday night. When investigators arrived on the scene, they found a pickup truck on fire. The body inside was badly burned.
An autopsy is being performed to make a positive identification and the state fire marshal’s office is assisting in the investigation.
