We all fall victim to them every year. No matter how hard you try to stick to that New Year’s resolution of weight loss and sugar cutback, late winter, and early spring rolls around the cute faces of the young ladies slangin boxes suck you in yet once again.

We all are weak. But one South Carolina man showed his strength and warm heart over the weekend, dropping $540 for Girl Scout cookies so the girls didn’t have to stand in the cold and sell on the day temperatures hit 30 degrees.

“When he told us to pack up all the cookies because he was going to buy them we were shocked. We stood there in shock for a little while,” Kayla Dillard, the “cookie manager” of Troop 1574, told CBS News.

“This man purchased seven packs of cookies. Gave the girls $40, told them to keep the change,” Dillard posted Friday night on Facebook. “Then he came back to the table and said, ‘Pack up all of your cookies. I’m taking them all so y’all can get out of this cold’ $540 he spent on cookies. What an amazing soul!!!!”

The mysterious cookie buyer still remains at large and nameless, but the girls and the Troop are very grateful. $540 worth of cookies at $4 a box? Hmmm….I wonder how many of those 135 boxes were Dosidos?
