Philadelphia is in the national spotlight once again for its sports, except this time, the city makes history with the announcement of the construction plans for the first arena for gaming in South Philly.

Comcast Spectacor, which owns the Flyers, will constuct the arena for fans in the U.S. for the Comcast-owned Fusion. The project is projected to be $50 million built in between Citizens Bank Park and the Wells Fargo Center. According to Philly.com, “the company plans to break ground this summer on part of the 47-acre stadium complex site that Comcast Spectacor leases in South Philadelphia. The 3,500-seat arena will rise on a parking lot, next to Xfinity Live! and within walking distance of the Linc, Citizens Bank Park, and the Wells Fargo Center.”

Along with the arena, Comcast is also taking part in two other projects in the area, with $250 million dedicated to renovations in the Wells Fargo Center, and seeking tenants for a 10-story office tower, costing $80 million.

See below for the project project plans.
