(AllHipHop News) Lifetime is not finished with singer R. Kelly.
The network just announced a follow-up to their hit docu-series, “Surviving R. Kelly,” which aired in January.
Just weeks after the original special aired, R. Kelly was charged with 10 felony counts of aggravated sexual assault over claims four women recently lodged against the singer.
Now Lifetime is planning a new, two-hour follow-up special titled “Surviving R Kelly: The Impact,” which will discuss the events which have happened in the aftermath of the series.
The second part features footage from the docuseries, interviews with journalists, legal experts, non-profit organizations and psychologists, who will also analyze the singer’s wild interview with Gayle King.
Award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien has been tapped to survive the latest installments, which will premiere Saturday, May 4th at 10pm ET.
