It has only been two months when it was discovered that Community Activist, daughter, friend and leader Amber Evans, was discovered in the Scioto River.
She was only 28 years old.
Although many are still mourning her absence the City of Columbus is honoring her dedication and community to making a difference. Council members awarded Amber Evans with a Create Columbus Visionary Award which recognizes young professionals who are making a change.
As shown on 10TV.com, Columbus City Council President Shannon G. Hardin posted a message to Amber’s parents.
Let this be a reminder to celebrate and love those who are present. How are you going to continue Amber’s vision?
