It may be a good idea to take your umbrella while you’re making moves this Memorial Day Weekend. According to NBC4i.com, the long holiday weekend will not be a washout in Ohio, but scattered storms are in the forecast — a few could be strong to severe again on Sunday afternoon. A severe thunderstorm watch continues until 9 p.m. for eastern Ohio.

The outlook for Memorial Day is better, until a warm front drifts north late in the day, introducing scattered showers and storms into the evening forecast. Temperatures will reach the low 80s on Monday, so the weather will be warm enough for the pool.

Keep in mind water temperatures in late May are still quite cool (60s). If you’re planning to do any recreational boating this weekend, always be prepared for emergencies, including wearing a life jacket and having approved safety gear for all passengers.

Tonight: Evening showers, warm, sticky. Low 68

Sunday: Mostly cloudy, showers and thunderstorms. High 82 (68)

Memorial Day: Partly sunny, late-day shower, storm. 80 (61)
