GOOGLE UNVEILS NEW NEXUS ONE SUPERPHONE
The iPhone just got some more competition. Google unveiled their new smartphone yesterday – the Nexus One. It’s the online search engine’s first foray into the cell phone market. The touchscreen phone, which Google is calling a “superphone,” is only available through a Web store operated by Google and, unlike the iPhone and most other current smartphones, it is available with or without mobile service. Some of its innovative features include text without typing. A voice-activated keyboard allows users to send texts, e-mails or Facebook updates simply by speaking into the phone. The phone costs $180 with a contract, and T-Mobile is the initial service provider.
