Columbus’ homegrown hip hop fest is returning for the fifth consecutive year on Saturday, July 27th. The 2019 2×2 Hip-Hop Festival is presented by CoverMyMeds and will be a day filled with good hip-hop vibes for the entire family. With acts such as Evidence of the legendary hip-hop group Dilated Peoples, plus Blu & Exile, Torae, Sa-Roc, and 38 Spesh rounding out the main acts of the festival, the organizing team hopes to celebrate the five-year milestone in a big way.

In addition to an impressive lineup, 2×2 attendees can look forward to an official b-boy/b-girl battle hosted by Flavor’d Flow Studio, the crowd favorite “Killer 16” MC battle, and beat box competition! The festival will also feature a hands-on area provided by non-profit partner The Dick & Jane Project with live graffiti art and more.

Thanks to the continued support from GCAC and sponsorship partners including Yellow Brick Pizza, Seventh Son Brewing and PBR, this year the 2×2 Hip-Hop Festival is adding a music industry day of workshops and talks that they’re calling 2×2 E.D.U.

Full time music artists, booking agents, engineers, and a live recording of Blueprint and Illogic’s podcast, Super Duty Tough Work, will take place on Sunday, July 28th in downtown Columbus as a way to help educate aspiring musicians and those who have an interest in getting into the music industry.

2×2 2019 will be held in the parking lot at 3440 W. Broad St. in Columbus near the intersection of W. Broad and Wilson Rd. Admission is $20 at the gate for adults and free for kids 15 and under. Presale tickets can be purchased on the website at www.2x2Fest.com for $15.

2×2 E.D.U. tickets include lunch provided by Yellow Brick Pizza & Seventh Son and must be purchased online for $25 in advance. Weekend passes for $40 are available and include Saturday admission into the main festival, 2×2 E.D.U., as well as the Pipeline614 hosted pre-show and after-party events.
