You always heard the saying, “All it takes is one person to ruin it for everybody.” Well, that seems to be the case as national news has been reporting on clowns trying to lure children across the country and becoming more evil than happy.

Now, Newark City Schools are banning clown costumes for Halloween this year. The school district says the decision comes with students sharing they are scared of clowns and recent ‘rumors.’

“Clowns are supposed to be happy, supposed to make people laugh,” Cassandra Delarosa said. “People have taken it to a more demonic, more evil type.”

Delaware City Schools have also joined the clown ban as well. Other districts go with funnier themes such as superheroes or book characters.
