John Edwards…You Are The Father!

In a written statement yesterday, John Edwards admitted for the first time that he fathered an illegitimate child. The former North Carolina senator and Democratic presidential candidate confirmed he is the father of a two-year-old daughter conceived with Rielle Hunter, a campaign videographer with whom he had an affair. In the statement he also said he is taking responsibility for the child, named Frances Quinn. “I will do everything in my power to provide her with the love and support she deserves,” Edwards said. He also expressed regret for ever denying she was his daughter and apologized to all those he has hurt. Family friends say Edwards is now separated from his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Edwards. John Edwards is now in Haiti helping with earthquake relief. He went along with a group of 25 to 30 people, including doctors. He said they brought supplies and medicine and were planning to “help in whatever way we can.”
