With a car decked out with police gear including police sirens, flashing lights, antennas, and cameras, 23 year old Sean McVey was arrested after being spotted at a North Carolina airport just after President Barack Obama left the city. Obama had been vacationing in Asheville, NC at the time.
This Ohio man also had a firearm and formulas for rifle scopes on a note in his car. Police had suspicion after they seen McVey get out of his car and listen to a police scanner with a remote earpiece. Apparently he was monitoring local agencies.
When police and Secret Service questioned McVey he said he had heard the president was in town and that he wanted to see him. He was later charged with going armed in terror of the public which is a misdemeanor.
