Mike Tyson will be getting it in with the ladies of The View on Friday and his ex-wife Robin Givens may be going for the knockout if Tyson brings her name up.
A source close to the ABC show says Robin is pissed that Mike is appearing on the show. She even went as far as to contact the network and request that her name not be brought up on the show.
“When Robin got word that Mike would be on the show, she reacted immediately,” says our source. “She’d rather not have Mike rehash their rather tumultuous relationship. That was a bad time for her, and she’s moved on.”
If you remember, the first time that Iron Mike sat down with Barbara Walters it was back in 1998 when him and Robin appeared on 20/20. In that interview Robin put Mike on blast saying their marriage was “torture, pure hell, worse than anything I could possibly imagine.”
Bivens feels that Mike will take advantage of being on the show and she’ll have to relive those memories all over again.
A rep for the show said,”Barbara asked Mike Tyson several questions about their 1988 bombshell interview during taping, which Tyson answered,”
“Mike certainly discusses his relationship with Robin but keeps it short and sweet, The way they split up was so public that it can’t be ignored. But for the most part, Mike did the interview because he wanted to re-establish his relationship with Barbara.”
Tyson also mentions his TV career. The heavyweight talks about his new show on Animal Planet, “The Birdman of Boxing”.
