As we previously reported, Atlanta’s own Gucci Mane was finally released from jail on Wednesday at midnight. The Brick Squad rapper wasted no time in celebrating his release and gave his very first post jail interview to the “Rickey Smiley Morning Show” and Hot 107.9!
Gucci was also the guest of honor last night at a special dinner held for him at the Georgian Terrace Hotel. The dinner was attended by several celebrities, including Hot 107.9’s own the Durrty Boyz and DJs Drama and Sense, Atlanta singers Monica and Kandi Burruss, rappers Big Boi, Shawty Lo and Wacka Flocka Flame, producers Jazze Pha, Sean Garrett and Drumma Boy, Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall and former DeKalb CEO turned congressional candidate Vernon Jones.
Record execs from across the country, including Atlanta’s James Rhodes and Nicole Sellers and Asylum Records’ CEO Todd Moscowitz, were also in attendance.
Gucci had a lot to talk about this morning, including what life was like for him in jail, his next album The Appeal and his upcoming performance at Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash 15.
