Power 107.5

I am trying to do something for this special group of girls. We are undefeated and #1 in the Nation, but no one knows about us. Please let me know if you can mention us on the radio a few times or if there is something I can look into to assist in the oush for this team. I am hoping to get the girls to Miami for Nationals at the end of August. I need to get the support of the community to come to some games. Its only $5.00 per game and kids are FREE! We also sell 9packs of tickets for $25.00. Check this out for some info on the squad:

Columbus Hidden Gems Mid-Season Report

With a 7-0 record, the Columbus Hidden Gems have reached one of their goals, which was a fast jump out of the gate. The other obvious goals for any competitive team are to remain undefeated, win a Regional Title and then a National Championship.

In order to do so, the WBCBL Columbus Hidden Gems will need to further gain the support of its own community. The organization has built a strong squad and hopes to increase the 50-100 people per game attendance numbers it has averaged so far this year.

The Columbus Hidden Gems have the most wins in the entire 50+ team WBCBL and sit atop the national standings on the website: http://www.wbcbl.com and have the entire 2010 season. None of which would be possible without Title Sponsor: Pengwyn at http://www.pengwyn.com and more specifically Jim Borowski.

The team has been led by several talented players who either already have been or will be placed overseas for professional basketball careers. Some aspiring, unsigned professional prospects are Niki McCoy(Akron/Bowling Green) who has been instrumental in the team’s success thus far. Ashleigh Brown(Miami,Oh) and Catherine Cain(Ohio U/S.C. Aiken) have been outstanding all year and have done so at 3 different positions each. Andrea Walker of Ohio State is averaging a double-double and many blocks per game as well. Tina Huff(Walnut Ridge/Alcorn St)has provided blocks, boards, and an interior presence on both sides of the floor.

The most intriguing part of the season is that the Columbus Hidden Gems have yet to debut the only WNBA Draft Pick(Seattle Storm) & Signee(NY Liberty) in WBCBL history in Brandie Hoskins of The Ohio State University. With Brandie’s home debut coming on June 19th at 4pm versus Cleveland Crush at Lazelle Woods Rec Ctr on 8140 Sancus Blvd, the Columbus Hidden Gems feel like the sky is the limit for 2010.
