Oprah Hits All-Time Low
The Oprah Winfrey Show has hit a milestone this week, but not a good one. For the first time in the show’s 24-year history, Oprah’s ratings fell below the 3.0 mark. The week of June 28th it averaged a 2.9, falling behind Judge Judy, which has now beaten Oprah 14 of the past 16 weeks. And though it could be argued that Oprah is in repeats, almost every other daytime show is as well. “Although the ratings for our summer reruns have declined since last year, The Oprah Winfrey Show continues to hold its place as the Number 1 daytime talk show for the last 24 years,” said a spokesperson. The Talk Show Queen enters her 25th season this fall.
