Sean “Diddy” Combs may have his eye on that empty seat at the “American Idol” judges’ table. He commented about the Fox gig Wednesday. Diddy said he initially thought judging on “Idol” wasn’t his style but changed his tune after he realized how much money Simon Cowell made. Diddy says, quote, “Once I heard what Simon makes…[I] would love the job. I’ve got six kids. If I would get the same check Simon gets…we would have a ball.” Fox producers have said a replacement will be announced in early September. Names reportedly under consideration include Shania Twain, Bret Michaels, Chris Isaak, Jessica Simpson, and Harry Connick Jr.
Now we all know Diddy is known for ruining careers. I don’t know how I feel about him discovering new talent, because when he does, the artist usually disappears….
