When Irv Gotti claimed that Nicki Minaj was as talented as Lauryn Hill, people all over the world laughed at what seemed to be the dumbest statement ever made in public.

However, in an interview with CNN, Nicki Minaj unsurprisingly made it known that Gotti’s opinion wasn’t uninformed.
“Irv has been privy to hear things that I’ve done that the world hasn’t heard,” she says. “Based on the music I have out now, that sounds like an absurd comment, but when ‘Pink Friday’ comes out, you will completely understand why Irv made that comparison.”
At least Nicki knows that the music she has out now isn’t on Lauryn’s level.
