Audi, “Prom”: It’s not easy to pack an entire movie’s worth of story into one 60-second commercial, but the folks at Audi pulled it off. Their “Prom” spot is filled with all the subtle character nuances and interactions that you could ever hope to see from the greatest of teen-angst rom-coms.

History Channel, “Vikings”: Just when we were sitting here thinking, “You know, what the world really needs is a show about Vikings with the same gravitas as ‘Mad Men,'” along came this commercial to let us know History was thinking the exact same thing. Gabriel Byrne, looking good!

Hyundai, “Epic Playdate”: Few things weird us out more than the Flaming Lips. Fewer still weird us out more than The Flaming Lips starring in a Super Bowl commercial. This one wins on surreal points alone.

“Iron Man 3” Preview: Though the spot that aired during the big game was tragically brief, the extended version released online brought all of the firepower we’ve come to expect from a Marvel Studios adventure.

Kia, “Space Babies”: After “Baby Geniuses,” the only logical place to turn next is “Space Baby Geniuses.” This came pretty darn close.

“The Lone Ranger” Preview: The ending of the spot broached Jack Sparrow/Bugs Bunny-level goofiness, but the rest of the preview reminded us why we’re so hopeful for “Lone Ranger” in the first place: major roles for William Fichtner and Ruth Wilson, among other factors.

MilkPEP, “The Rock in Morning Run”: The next time you groan about how hard your day is going to be, just remember, it could be worse — you could be Dwayne Johnson, babysitting a trio of kids in the middle of a world-ending alien invasion, completely out of the one thing you need to survive: milk.

Taco Bell, “Viva Young”: Because it never hurts to see old people having some “fun.”
