Boy, just when you thought it was safe to go to the mailbox. Apparently the Ku Klux Klan went around like the welcome wagon of Secuirty-Widefield, Colorado this weekend. But instead of handing out platters of brownies and pineapple upside down cake along with a list of the finer points of interest in the city, they instead decided to give out invitations to join in on the bigotry and hatred. How sweet!

According to The Gazett, The  U.S. Postal Inspector will investigate various reports from several Security-Widefield residents who received invitations to join the Ku Klux Klan that were taped to their mail boxes Sunday.

El Paso County Sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Kramer, confirmed they got calls from alarmed residents. Said Kramer;

“We contacted the postal inspector, who indicated this was a violation of federal law. “The Sheriff’s Office will play an assistant role to the investigation.”

The fliers were left in ziploc bags and contained racist writing and a number to call that resulted in a voice message discussing white supremacy.

Hmm, we’re curious if anyone actually took them up on their invite? Ohh well, guess you can’t win them all. We also wonder if the people under those sheets looked anything like Dave Chappelle’s character Clayton Bigsby?! Could be interesting, we’re just saying!
