The big talk of the Super Bowl were the expensive furs that celebs were wearing that are still giving PETA nightmares, but flying under the radar is the fact that Nelly and Ashanti may have rekindled their flame. This past weekend, the former couple was spotted cuddled up in SoHo while kicking it with Diddy.
According to this morning’s Page Six, Nelly, Ashanti, Diddy and Rick Ross all popped into WIP Nightclub together after the Super Bowl where they made a scene in those huge furs:
There was a male fur fiesta as Sean “Diddy” Combs and his entourage of Rick Ross and a “newly rekindled Ashanti and Nelly” showed up at WIP in SoHo on Sunday to catch DJ Whoo Kid’s set.
Spies said they were living large in giant furs, just like Joe Namath.
Diddy and Rick needed extra room at the table for their furs,” said a source. “Ashanti and Nelly cuddled up next to them and complained Diddy and Rick’s furs took up their seats at every club all weekend.”
This comes as a surprise since Nelly’s been dating his girl LaShontae Heckard for a minute now. Back in October he had Tae by his side when he hosted a night at Compound nightclub where he gave her his chain and serenaded her with a little Jodeci.
Judging from the photos that emerged online during Grammy weekend, Nelly and Ashanti were both at Meek Mills Post-Grammy party, and they were also snapped making their way through a crowded club together.
It also looks as though she was wearing his chain.
In December, Ashanti sat down with Hot 97 and told them that there was probably no chance that she and Nelly would get back together.

Nelly and I are kind of in the space where, I’m kinda like focusing on my career, he’s focusing on what he’s doing, you know there’s a lot of things that happened this year, you know a lot of things kinda went public more than other things have gone public before, you know what I’m saying? And um, I kinda just…I have to do me. We’re in that space right now and there are things that were said and things that were done, that probably shouldn’t have been said or done, but they have been.
It looks as though they are making sure those 10+ years they were together don’t go to waste!
