Today, The King Arts Complex has an exhibition called “Forceful Perceptions.” How do we view acts of violence in the African American community? How do we cope? How do we move forward? The purpose of this is not to answer the questions surrounding the situations of violence, but to present perspectives of how it affects our nation, and start the conversation of how we can change for the future. Thursday at Camelot Cellars Winery, is Fashion is a Drag, Part Deaux. Experience and appreciate the over-the-top, creative, and glamorous aesthetic of drag fashion. Get an up-close look at six local queens’ costumes while you sip on a wine pairing that complements each queen. Camelot’s winemaker will describe the pairings and the inspiration behind them.
