If you haven’t heard the story let me catch you up. According to TMZLupita Nyongo‘s now-famous Oscar dress — adorned in pearls — was stolen right out of her hotel room … the dress was taken out of Lupita’s room at The London West Hollywood. The dress is made of 6,000 white Akoya pearls. Lupita told cops it was taken from her room sometime between 8 AM and 9 PM Wednesday”

Pretty much she was gone all day and it could have happened any time. The Dress was missing for days and the surveillance cameras were so crappy, you couldn’t even get a good I.D. of the guy who was responsible.

WHICH IS SUPER LUCKY FOR THEM.. BECAUSE WHEN THEY RETURNED THE DRESS FRIDAY YOU STILL COULDN’T SEE WHO DID IT LOL!!!

According to TMZ ” The Oscar gown was returned to The London West Hollywood Friday afternoon… and the thief called TMZ to tell us where it could be found and added it was a worthless fake.

A guy called at around 2:30 PM Friday and said he had taken the dress from Lupita’s hotel room after he noticed the door was ajar. He said he and others took 2 pearls off of the dress and took them to the garment district in downtown L.A. … where they were told they weren’t real.”

So the theif decides to return the dress back to the Hotel in a secret location… and told TMZ “he returned the bag and called us because he wanted the world to know “Hollywood’s fake bulls**t.” Law enforcement says they were told the Calvin Klein dress was worth $150K, but the thief says it’s almost worthless.

But the funny thing out of all of this is when Calvin Klein was asked to explain this.. his responce was “never told them if the pearls were real or fake. We’re told the only person who represented the pearls as real and valued the dress at $150K was Lupita’s stylist.” According to TMZ… the also add “A source directly connected with the Women’s Creative Director of Calvin Klein, Francisco Costa, put it this way to TMZ, “Did anyone ever say they were real from Calvin Klein? I always assumed everyone knew they were fake, but I guess not.”

But I could have told you that…

1. No real pearl is that perfectly round… 2. If it was real, home girl would be struggling to walk with over 50 pounds of sea salt on her body…. and finally 3. This is Calvin Klein!!! Be serious… lol
