According to CNN a call was made saying “suspicious person walking down Airline Highway with an assault rifle,” in Baton Rouge Louisiana. An ambush style shooting happened with police arrived on the scene.
Not many details are available at the time but it is being reported that three officers have been killed, 7 injured and one suspect is down. Police believe there are more suspects on the loose. The shooting took place around 10 am and was contained by noon. The remaining officers are in serious condition.
