Player star their thoughts on the match up

Malcolm Pridgeon will to play in the fiesta bowl

“He’s going to be a very good player here,” Meyer said. “He’s not prepared to play. He’s practicing with us just individual, not scout yet, but he’s just a guy we all love to death. He’s gone over and above what we’ve asked getting ready.

“That’s why (we removed his black stripe). … He’ll play for us (in the future).”

Pridgeon is in his first year as a junior college transfer and was widely expected to start. But he injured his knee during fall camp and was forced to miss the season.

There was a thought that Pridgeon could contribute in the postseason — especially as sophomore right tackle Isaiah Prince has struggled — but he’s just physically not ready.

The Fiesta Bowl is going down Dec 31, at 7:00p in Arizona
