Good news for Lebron James; the school board in Akron just approved his plans for an elementary school in Akron, Ohio. The school is being created in partnership with James’ NBA star foundation. The best part is that it’s geared towards children who struggle academically.
Per ESPN, “The LeBron James Family Foundation says the “I Promise” School in Akron will be geared toward educating students who are at risk of falling behind. It will have longer days and begin classes in the summer — weeks before other district schools — to encourage information retention.”
The school is set to open next school year to third- and fourth-graders.
