Comedian Hannibal Buress was arrested for disorderly intoxication in Miami on Sunday (December 10) morning in the area where Art Basel-related events are being held.

Video footage caught by a bystander shows Buress asking police why he was being arrested. One of the officers told him he was “trespassing” and later told Buress, “disorderly intoxication.”

The comedian later told the two officers, “No, I’m not getting in your car unless you have probable cause for anything. … Take the handcuffs off of me, I didn’t do anything, I’m not getting in your car.”

After a heated back and forth, one of the officers forcibly pushed Buress in the back of his squad car.

He was released on bail around 6 am on Sunday morning.

he officer who arrested Hannibal Buress explained his side of what he says happened that eventful night.

According to the report TMZ got their hands onHannibal allegedly attempted to get an Uber ride home. The report explained that the Miami officer was approached by the comedian with “bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol coming from his breath.” He asked the officer to call the car service for him, but the officer refused. The officer claims this caused Buress to become irate before walking into a bar.

The cop then asked the “Broad City” actor to leave the party scene, given he was too drunk. One thing led to another, bringing a crowd around them. When the cop warned him to leave “5 times,” Buress ended up in cuffs. Video footage from onlookers shows him yelling at officers questioning why he was being detained. Matters didn’t get better when Buress said, “You know you goofy as f***, right?” before calling another cop “salty” and “stupid.”

Even though the actor ended up getting arrested for disorderly intoxication and spending $500 on bond, at least it’s safe to say he initially tried to take the responsible route getting home.
