I remember this tragic day, because it made my heart so heavy. When i got the news that a ride had malfunction causing fatalities right here in Columbus.
The crash of the Fire Ball
It was July 26 when a night of family fun at the Ohio State Fair turned to tragedy.
One of the six gondolas on the Fire Ball ride broke loose, killing 18 year old Tyler Jarrell, injuring 7 others.
Four of those seven victims suffered critical injuries:
22 year-old Keziah Lewis, 18 year-old Jennifer Lambert, 36 year-old Tamika Dunlap, and 42 year-old Russell Franks.
According to 10tv, in the documents they are referred to as the “catastrophic victims.”
