Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg finds himself in rare air. It has been revealed that Zuckerberg has officially moved past Warren Buffet as the third-richest person behind Jeff Bezos of Amazon and Bill Gates. Zuckerberg’s leap over Buffet came as Facebook’s stock went up 2.4 percent. Now the top three richest people are all tech-industry billionaires which is a first.
Buffet was once sitting atop the list but due to the tech boom and his charitable giving, the Oracle of Omaha has donated roughly 290 million Berkshire Hathaway Class B shares which carries an estimated worth of $50 billion. In a similar fashion, Zuckerberg has pledged to donate 99 percent of his shares in Facebook during his lifetime.
