The CEO of Amazon Jeff Bezos, will be divorcing his wife of 25 years. He is reportedly the richest man in the world according to Bloomberg, worth a whooping $137 Billion. The announcement was made via twitter this Wednesday morning.
“We want to make people aware of a development in our lives. As our family and close friends know, after a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends,” read the statement signed by both of them.
Here is the gag, it is possible his wealth will be split in half during this divorce. There is no record of a prenup between the two, and in Washington when a married couple has no prenup, all assets that were gained during the marriage is split 50/50. They both seem to be at peace and very cordial with the divorce, the two have four children together ages ranging from 13-18.
