According to the Columbus Dispatch, police have identified the body of a woman who was found dead behind a garage on the South Side Sunday morning.
Police have identified Tonya L. Daniels as the victim. She was found dead after police and paramedics arrived at a house on Seymour Avenue just before 10:00am Sunday
Records reviewed by The Dispatch show her age was 47 and her last known address was in an apartment on the East Side.
A person calling 911 said they found the woman unresponsive inside the detached garage, which is located behind the house. Paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene police said.
Columbus police homicide detectives have not revealed what they believe caused the woman’s death, but did indicate they were treating the death as a homicide. This is the 14th homicide in the city this year.
