Postpartum depression has been a topic that has been brought up by many women in the last few years. From Love and HipHop Cyn Santana expressing her struggles with not feeling like herself after the birth of her first child. Even GHerbo’s child mother Ari sharing that her boyfriend left her because he could handle her postpartum depression.
Well, it looks like FDA has approved the first drug to help with this form of depressions that affects 1 in 9 women after giving birth. According to thehuffpost.com, the drug is called Zulresso and patients would receive a continuous IV drip over 60 hours. Based on clinical trials with over 200 women it showed that it helped treat depression in hours.
