Anyone who claims to be apart of the Rihanna Navy knows that we’ve been craving music from the chart topping singer. But as of late, Rih has put the music on the back burner in pursuit of other business ventures, like her major makeup line, Fenty Beauty.
One of her latest ventures has been collaborationg with Donald Glover, better known as, Childish Gambino, on a film that has built up great mystery around it.

Last year, Rih and Childish Gambino were spotted together filming a project in Havana, Cuba. And it looks like we won’t have to wait much longer to catch a glimpse of what the pair has been up to. Spotify recently put up some very vague advertisements for ‘Guava Island.’
In an audio clip from the ad, you can hear Childish Gambino singing before putting out a message to his fans: “I’ll see you at the show, everyone.”
The intriguing advertisement definitely has fans marking their calendars for April 13th. Fans will finally be able to get their first look at ‘Guava Island’ during the Youtube live stream of Coachella Weekend 1.
According to Complex, there are rumors that the film could be part of a larger visual album project by Gambino.
Childish Gambino is slated to perform just before the film is set to air.
Gambino’s unique perspective has been revealed to many viewers during his role in FX’s Atlanta. Before the show premiered in 2016, he played it close to the cast with little to no details about the plot. Similar to what he and RiRi are doing with ‘Guava Island,’ Gambino enjoys leaving much to the imagination.
Rihanna has also kept her lips sealed about her role in the film while n the midst of securing all bags.
If you are not lucky enough to attend Coachella this weekend, you can check out the live stream available on Youtube! Keep your eyes peeled for ‘Guava Island’!
