Trey Songz Under Investigation For Battery?

R&B singer Trey Songz is allegedly under police investigation following allegations that he assaulted a cameraman during an appearance at a nightclub appearance on July 13th in Long Island. The incident happened at The Ivy nightclub, where videographer Isaa Mansoor had been hired by the venue owner to document the event.

According to club goers and surveillance footage, Songz became allegedly became aggressive after noticing he was being filmed. He allegedly knocked Mansoor’s camera to the ground, punched him in the head, slammed him into a wall and destroyed additional equipment. Witnesses say Songz also threatened the venue owner when they attempted to intervene while telling Songz he hired the cameraman for the night.

Mansoor made a visit to the emergency room where he received a X-rays and was reportedly diagnosed with a concussion, migraine, and ankle pain, and prescribed medication for his injuries.

A formal complaint has been filed, and the Huntington Police Department has confirmed an active investigation is underway. No charges have been announced yet.
