Wyclef Named “Artist Of The Year”

Wyclef Jean has been named “Artist of the Year” by Harvard University.  ‘Clef will be saluted at the Cultural Rhythms awards gala this Saturday night on the Harvard campus.  The awards dinner is part of a day-long Cultural Rhythms Festival that will feature musicians from a wide variety of genres performing throughout the day at Harvard’s Sanders Theatre.

S. Allen Counter, director of the Harvard Foundation, gave Wyclef props in a statement that said, “His contributions to music and his distinguished history of creativity have been appreciated by people throughout the world. He is also admired worldwide for his humanitarian efforts on behalf of the people of Haiti.”
