Brian G. Rogers (Born December 20, 1989) in Columbus, Ohio is a determined mentor, hard working college student that believes it’s time for a change in our community. Attending CSCC majoring in Electronic Engineering he plans to be finish by December of 2012. His journey was in progress with giving the helping hand in his community in 2006 with assisting elementary school students at local libraries with reading and mathematics skills. Brian has been connected with Columbus, Ohio’s Big Brother Big Sister program since September 2009. Rogers’s were a stand-out city league football player that had dreams of becoming the next big superstar but was haunted by a broken ankle in his junior year of high school which was a turning point in his life. Having this tragedy occur, Brian realized his gift wasn’t just football it was communicating and mentoring his family, friends and even stranger’s which later he felt he could become a positive ambassador in Central Ohio. Now he has structured and laid down the foundation of the new community service group Open Handz. The group was formed in early January of 2010. The organization is not to just help one particular age group out its giving help to everyone. The best attributes about Rogers is his unselfishness, his heart-warming smile, his determination, communication skills, and also his ability to be a team player which is going to land him further than what he probably imagines. Brian has made a name in setting the standard on how he feels women should be treated “daily” by his yearly signature event “The Ladies Appreciation tour”;that him & his business partner/mentor Eric R Crouch of Columbus Park & Recreations backed him up with for the last 2 years. He’s also the founder of that event also.

Dear Fathers::- No matter the relationships you have with their mother(s) still fight to be in their presence. Remember, it’s only the child(ren) that suffers in the end. You are more then just semen. You are a father. A provide, A protector,a royal king,a man that prays over his family. You will teach your sons how to become a man & show your daughters what a real man looks like ect. Even if your efforts aren’t being applauded know that god knows your heart & that’s all that matters.
