Heavy D, born Dwight Arrington Myers, died of a blood clot in his lung, according to the coroner’s office. The blood clot was “most likely formed during an extended airplane ride,” Craig Harvey, chief of the Los Angeles County department of coroner.

The rapper also suffered from deep leg vein thrombosis and heart disease, reports the L.A.Times.

An earlier coroner’s report proved inconclusive and the rapper’s family had said the death was due to complications from pneumonia.

On Nov. 8, the 44-year-old rapper was found conscious on the walkway near his Beverly Hills home. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
