I have had a passion for art since I was a young girl. The ability to find visual beauty in everything, especially the outdoors, has always come easy to me. There is something about the natural light the sky gives both night and day that really speaks to me. Eclectic, elegant, quirky, and artistic are all words that describe my personality which adds a special flair to my photography & stationary.
Years later and hundreds of publications, various cameras, and experimental shoots; Siobhan Thompson Fine Art Portraiture was born. I am grateful for the many photographers that have shared with me the ins and outs of this industry, chiefly my mentor Stephanie Matthews of Stephanie Matthews Photography. The greatest lesson I have learned is “…image making is in the eye, in the mind, and in the heart of a good photographer… you have to be a good photographer first.” –Yervant Zanazanian
I am humbled to have such an enthusiastic, ingenious, inspired energy and the ability to find beauty in the most unlikely places. My endeavor is to create images that are unique, classic, modern and timeless thereby forcing the image to be imbedded in one’s memory. Shooting with natural light in natural settings offers an honest intimacy rarely found in a studio.
