Janelle Monáe is the latest addition to the CoverGirl family. She will be featured as the face of the company’s new ad campaign following in the footsteps of stars like Pink, Taylor Swift, Drew Barrymore, Sofía Vergara and Ellen DeGeneres. Monáe said in a statement that it’s time women “truly owned their superpowers and used their beauty and strength to change the world around them.” She adds that being part of the CoverGirl team “is truly an honor and a gift.,” Monáe’s first ten-page ad is set to debut in “Vogue’s” September issue.
