As of Monday Apple reported iPhone 5 preorders to over 2 million in the first 24 hours, over double the amount of pre-orders for the iPhone 4S.
The gadget leader also shared that because demand exceeds initial supply, some pre-orders will not be delivered until October, though most orders are expected to be filled by Friday.
Phones ordered online won’t arrive until October 5th, according to Apple’s website. iPhones sold at retail stores, starting Friday are expected to be sold out by Sunday.
